Boot Camp Assistant is missing
Posted by: fidel in Applications, How to, _english, mac, tags: 10.5, boot camp, BootCamp.pkg, fail, Finder, go to folder, install, Install Disc, missing, reinstall, utilitiesIt seems that still some people get Macs without Boot Camp Assistant installed.
Basicly that should not happen with Leopard Macs, as Boot Camp is officially Part of Mac OS X since 10.5
If you have similar problems follow those steps to solve that issue:
- Check if Boot Camp Assistant is really not existing in /Applications/Utilities
- Insert your Mac OS X Install Disc 1
- In Finders menubar select: Go to Folder
- Enter:Â /Volumes/Mac OS X Install Disc 1/System/Installation/Packages
- Double-click BootCamp.pkg to install Boot Camp Assistant
