Es gibt verschiedene Wege die Icons in Mac OS X zu ersetzen. Da ich heute selbst à¼ber ein Problem in diesem Kontext gestolpert bin werde ich nochmal kurz darauf eingehen.

Eumel blogte hier gestern à¼ber ein schà¶nes neues Icon-Set namens Pry Systems. Nach kurzem Blick auf die Icons kam bei mir der Haben-Reflex und ich hab mir die 42 MB Icons heruntergeladen.

Also erstmal LiteIcon gestartet um die Haupt-Icons meiner 10.5 Installation abzuà¤ndern. Dies funktioniert wie immer mit LiteIcon sehr stressfrei.

I was wondering if OSX doenst offer some kind of extended file extension management.

It was clear that the user can define a default application for a single file extension i.e. .pdf like that:

• Selecting a .pdf file
• Open “Get Info” dialog
• Select an application in the “Open with” section
• Press “change all”

Well thats a solution for single bindings….i was searching for a more central solution to handle this problem.

Finally i found an app called: RCDefaultApp
