Maybe you ask yourself howto change an icon in OS-X. Actually i did it in my first week using a mac.
Step 1 - Get some icons:
Lets start downloading some custom icons. Just use one of the following links:
Download some icons and extract / copy them to your desired location. i.e. in the users documents folder.
Step 2 - Change the default icon you a custom one:
“file A” is the file which icon should be changed
“file B” is your new icon which should be used
- Select “file A”
- Open “Get Info” dialog of “file A”
- Open the “Get info” dialog of “file B”
- Select the Icon of “file B” inside the “Get info” dialog (should be marked blue)
- Press “Edit” -> “Copy”
- Select the Icon of “file A” inside the “Get info” dialog (should be marked blue)
- Press “Edit” -> “Paste”
If you have followed those steps without missing something important the new icon should appear in the “Get Info” dialog of “file A”.
enjoy your new icons
Best regards
fidel
