Today was cleanup day for my mailbox and so i stumbled upon a mail from 20071211. Brain from box.net has noticed this blog entry about flickr offering picnik support.

His mail:

Hello,

My name is Brian, I’m an intern working at Box.net. I saw your post about editing photos online and I wanted to write to you in case you would be interested in knowing Box.net now lets users edit photos online as well.

Using our OpenBox platform, users can now right-click on any image and edit it instantly, for free. OpenBox is a platform which lets developers write software that can be installed directly on the Box.net website.

If you decide you would like to post something about this on your blog, please let me know if you or your readers have any suggestions for the service.

Sincerely,

Brian

Sounds great i must admit. Unfortunaly i don’t use box.net till now, but guess its time to take a look on the project once again. Regarding his open call for feedback…..do it if you feel so. Great offer.

So Brain if you read this….i’ll test it :D

New Flickr feature:

Picnikâ  s awesome photo editing tools are now only a click away. If youâ  ve ever wanted to deal with the dreaded red eye or crop a photo just so, click on the new â œedit photoâ   icon located above one of your photos and get started.

Weâ  re thrilled to announce a unique, new partnership with Picnik

Picnik has been providing online photo editing for a while now. As soon as we saw it, we knew that there was huge potential for us to join together. Rather than Flickr diverting from our speciality to enter a realm we had no (particular) expertise in, the thought of a partnership seemed much more sensible.
