Just stumbled over DaringFireball to Lifehacker and finally to the blog of the Free Software Foundation.
They have posted a really great article about the iPhone and why you should avoid it.

I must admit …. even if the article is in a style you expect from the Free Software Foundation (a bit eradicative and stolid ) it is still true.

I don’t want to continue my rant about the iPhone here, but i guess the article is a must-read …. so go for it.
